Senator Abiola Ajimobi, Governor of Oyo State Commissions the Agricultural Transformation Building and the Senator Abiola Ajimobi Ring Road, at IITA, Ibadan on May the 25th, 2019.
Senator Abiola Ajimobi, the Governor of Oyo State, is one of the few governors that supports international agricultural research. Senator Ajimobi commissioned a policy framework for Oyo state in 2018 that was implemented by IITA and National Institute of Social Economic Research (NISER), as part of forward looking efforts to help repositon the agricultural landscape of the state.
He believes that agriculture is the only key sector that can provide food, employment for the youth and women. Therefore, he invested in the agricultural development of his state through the procurement and distribution of tractors, soft loans, and grants to farmers among others.
