Notes
A team of the Department of Molecular Biology of the Free University of Brussels recently made an important discovery in the field of sleeping sickness. The researchers revealed the existence of a sexual reproduction phase in the life-cycle of the trypanosomiasis parasite, transmitted bv the tsetse fly.
This new result may pave the way towards the manufacturing of a vaccine which seemed, hitherto, impossible to produce.
