The techniques for drying cassava and incorporating it into shrimp feed have teen developed in Ecuador, which has become the world's largest exporter of pond-raised shliInp.
The precise ingredients remain a secret of ABA, the largest shrimp food manufacturing company in Ecuador, but formulations are known to consist approximately of: 2,5-5% pure cassava starch, 5-10% cassava flour, and up to 25% by-products of cassava starch production.
