A new quarterly newssheet is being put out by the US Office of Agriculture, Bureau for Science and Technology/AID (Agency for International Development) in Washington DC
STAR (Science and Technology Agricultural Reporter) was initiated in response to a demand for regular communications between AID's Office of Agriculture and a worldwide audience. It provides current information on collaborative research programmes sponsored by AID/S and T/AGR, and shares research findings, explores applications, and discusses accomplishments. As such it invites contributions on project accomplishments and now aid-funded agricultural research is making an impact.
STAR's objective is thus to increase professional collaboration avoid duplication of professional effort, and facilitate the transfer of agricultural technology.
