Notes
Food Matters Worldwide is a bi-monthly voice for UK farmers, agricultural colleges and concerned consumers, which aims to widen the debate on the future of farming and food production. It is a joint publication of Farmers Link-NEAD (Norfolk Education and Action Development) and the Farmers' Third World Network.
The Farmers' Third World Network is a national network of farmers in the UK who are aware that North and South countries are interdependent. The network aims to promote awareness of the problems of developing countries and the relationships between European and Third World agriculture among the UK farming community, and to foster links with like-minded farmers and farming croups throughout the EEC. Farmers Link-NEAD is an EEC-funded project based in Norwich (UK) which also promotes awareness of world development issues in schools, clubs, churches and community groups.
Recent issues of Food Matters Worldwide have covered such topics as women and the farming environment, an appraisal of GATT, agroecology in the South, cocoa and chocolate, converting land to organic farming, cattle and farming in Botswana, and agrochemicals.
