It will be organized by the Centre de cooperation internationale en recherche agronomique Dour le developpement (CIRAD), with the help of the International Network for Information on Bananas and Plantains (INIBAP) and CTA. Topics for discussion will include: a strategy for the genetic improvement of banana trees; genetic resources, host-parasite relationship, and biotechnologies.
