    Abstract/Description
French-English agricultural dictionary : with English-French index compiled by D O'D Bourke ISBN 0 85198 7672 Hbk UKL29.50 CAB International, Wallingford Oxon OX10 ODE, UK
    Notes
This dictionary (together with its English-French Index) contains over 20,000 entries and has been compiled from the widest possible range of agricultural literature, both scientific and popular, temperate and tropical, modern and older, emanating from France and other francophone countries. The term 'agriculture' has been interpreted in its widest sense to include agronomy, animal husbandry, agricultural engineering, animal and plant diseases, agricultural economics soil science, statistics, parasites and weeds. In keeping with current developments terms have been included which deal with computerization, farm forestry, rural recreation and tourism, conservation and pollution, and activities such as fish and snail farming. Some horticultural terms have been included for the sake of completeness and because the distinction between agriculture and horticulture is frequently blurred, especially in small-scale holdings in the tropics.
