Notes
Gender Works shows that the field of gender issues is extremely broad. This book is a multi-authored contribution to development debates on integrating gender issues into development organisations. It focuses on the experience of Oxfam UK over the past fifteen years. The contributions vary from practical case studies, gender concerns in emergency situations, the ins and outs of gender training and to how advocacy works for gender issues with the World Bank. The book aims at making a contribution to the exchange of knowledge and experience among different organisations and individuals, in many different contexts. The 34 authors include women and men from South and North, employed worldwide by Oxfams from several countries.
