| dcterms.description | The current preferential trade provisions existing between the 71 African, Caribbean and Pacific States and the European Union, which are not considered compatible with those presented by the World Trade Organization, form the basis of a working paper produced by the European Centre for Development Policy Management (ECDPM). One of the ways the Centre aims to improve international cooperation between Europe and ACP countries is through the provision of information, and this paper clearly outlines the situation. It pays particular attention to the Pacific states and canned tuna, bananas, sugar, and the options for trade provisions after the year 2000.
