Notes
How men and women use, manage and are affected by their natural environment is strongly influenced by their socially determined roles and responsibilities. Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) can help development workers, together with local men and women, to explore the links between gender and the environment and to achieve more effective community work.
Questions of difference is a two hour video which has been produced in English, French and Portuguese. It is accompanied by a trainers guide and a series of slides. The video opens with a general presentation and continues with case studies which could serve to stimulate discussion and lead into group exercise work. The series of slides and the training guide in English, French and Portuguese are about to be published.
