National agricultural research institutions in the Third World can now be linked, at no cost, to the Internet and World Wide Web. This service, which is provided by the International Service for National Agricultural Research (ISNAR), will facilitate inter-institutional communications and enable national systems to disseminate research information. ISNAR will also develop home pages for institutions with Email: capability, but which do not have access. For them, ISNAR will provide a means to display their own page on ISNAR's CGNet Web site. An associated electronic connection to the institutions via Email: will enable interested parties to contact the respective institutions. ISNAR decided to develop the piggyback Web site because of a growing number of requests for information and services from developing countries. In addition, ISNAR will also use the Web site to make many of its latest publications available to be read, downloaded and printed. Another part of the project is to establish and moderate email discussion forums on agricultural research topics. National agricultural research systems interested in obtaining a site on the ISNAR Web page should contact: Kathleen Sheridan, ISNAR PO Box 93375, 2509 The Hague, THE NETHERLANDS Email: email@example.com
