Useful periodicals MusAfrica is the plantain and banana newsletter published by the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA). The newsletter aims to provide an informal means of technical communication between plantain and banana scientists in Africa. It is hoped that MusAfrica will become a forum for publication of current research on Musa including brief articles on important events and topics in Musa research. It should provide a much needed forum in the light of the discontinuation of Banana Newsletter and the decision by the Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research (CGIAR) to drastically cut the activities of the International Network for me Improvement of Banana and Plantain (INIBAP). Editor in Chief, MusAfrica, IITA, PMB 5320, Ibadan, NIGERIA Deniva News is the quarterly newsletter of the Development Network of Indigenous Voluntary Associations (DENIVA), the first issue of which appeared in November 1993.
