Small food processing: meeting the information challenge
Can small and medium agri-food initiatives help Africa to meet the goals set for it in the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs)? Can small scale processors turn the tide towards achieving food sufficiency, alleviating poverty and generating export income? These will be the key considerations as the ACP-EU Technical Centre for Agricultural and Rural Cooperation (CTA), in collaboration with the Government of Benin, stage an international seminar on The Role of Information and Communication in the Development of Small and Medium Agri-food Processing Units in Africa from 20 - 24 February 2006, in Cotonou, Benin. Scientific and technical collaboration will be provided by the African Regional Centre for Technology (ARCT).
