    Notes
The UK-based Catholic Fund for Overseas Development (CAFOD) has a launched a report 'Dumping on the poor: the common agricultural policy, the WTO and international development' criticising the external effects of the CAP. The report calls for the EU to: reduce EU subsidies substantially; abolish all production-linked measures; focus subsidies on public wants and needs; eliminate tariffs on agricultural products from developing countries; undertake impact assessments of proposed reform measures on food security and poverty reduction in developing countries; reduce the transitional costs to developing countries arising from CAP reform.
