Two-thirds of all BSE cases are now being found through routine...
Two-thirds of all BSE cases are now being found through routine testing (i.e. of apparently healthy animals). Only 1 in 8 BSE cases are being found in healthy animals subject to normal slaughtering (as opposed to over-30-month slaughtering schemes). Commissioner Bryne reiterated the continuation of the meat- and bone-meal ban until July 2003.
