The EU is seeking greater use of Geographical Indications (GIs), seen by some countries as a key part of the strategy for CAP reform, providing new barriers to trade. A range of documents have been published showing the background to the failure of the Cancun Ministerial, statements at Cancun, the full text of the revised Ministerial text which failed to be adopted, and the consequences for agricultural negotiations.
