The People First Network (PFnet) has been instrumental in bringing connectivity to the Solomon Islands, where 85% of the population have no access to telecommunications.

The People First Network (PFnet) has been instrumental in bringing connectivity to the Solomon Islands, where 85% of the population have no access to telecommunications. Using point-to-point communication, the project is promoting ICTs to further rural development and the flow of information among all social groups. 40% of users are women.
