Report of the subcommittee established to elaborate on and sharpen the research areas identified by the March-May 1973 TAC Research Review Mission to the Near East and North Africa as requiring strengthening and to clarify the research to be undertaken. Conclusions and recommendations center on the need for a new IARC to be called the International Center for Research on Arid Lands (ICRAL), its structure, location, staffing, program content, and relations with other IARCs, particularly CIMMYT.
