    Abstract/Description
Revised version of a paper by Lowell Hardin describing the selection process, roles, duties, of IARC board members and the organization of IARC boards. A draft version, prepared with the assistance of a small advisory committee of experienced center trustees, was considered and approved at the CGIAR meeting in November 1984. This document remained a standard part of the orientation of new center board members for a long period.
