    Abstract/Description
    TAC analysis of the issue of how CGIAR centers should approach sharing research responsibilities with national systems in developing countries. Moving in this direction was suggested by the CGIAR at the meeting of May 1986. The paper discusses the need to strengthen the NARS, and the role of shared research activities in that process.Considered at TAC 44 and TAC 45, and approved at TAC 46.
