    Abstract/Description
    Paper prepared at the request of the Consultative Council by Geoffrey Hawtin, the Director General of IPGRI, in consultation with the Genetic Resources Policy Committee (GRPC) and other stakeholders. In the light of broad agreement that the GRPC should continue to have general oversight of policy, the paper proposes a revised terms of reference and broadened representation.Agenda document, CGIAR Mid Term Meeting, May 1999, discussed under the heading of Consultative Council Propositions on Governance.
