This report describes the Global Open Agriculture and Food University. The goal for the university is to provide course contents and professional and applied academic teaching in partnership with regional and national institutions to enhance research and analytical capacities necessary for sustainable use of natural resources and improved food and nutrition security in the developing countries. The reports describes the rationale for the project, its goals and objectives. This report was discussed at the 6th meeting of the Executive Council, May 2004, at Montpellier, France.
