Abstract/Description
Note presented by Christoph Kohlmeyer, co-chair of GDPRD, Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, Germany. The objective of the Global Donor Platform for Rural Development (GDPRD) is to reduce poverty and enhance economic growth in rural areas in developing countries through improved donor cooperation, collaboration and coordinated dialogue with partner countries. This note makes the case for the need for improved donor collaboration with specific focus on rural development and possible approaches and action towards improvement. This note was discussed at the Business Meeting at AGM2005.
