    Abstract/Description
    The minutes contain a main report and reports of CDC subcommittees. The minutes record the Center Directors' decision to establish a joint CDC/TAC Committee on Priority Assessment, an endorsement of the TOR of PARC with emphasis on increasing core as distinct from complementary funding, agreement on the balancing fund concept as a mechanism for meeting approved center core funding up to a maximum of 25%, a decision not to provide support to IFAR beyond 1992, agreement to develop a CDC fund consisting of 0.1% of center core budgets to fund special CDC activities. The minutes also record extensive discussion on the Ecoregional Approach to International Agricultural Research on such as matters as implementing the ecoregional approach to improve sustainability/natural resource management research in the system, bearing also in mind the perception among donors about duplication of tasks and competition for mandates among centers. The first official meeting of the CDC as co-sponsors to AIARC is recorded in the minutes with details regarding programs and funding. Other discussions relate to the development of a biotechnology service at ISNAR, Intellectual Property and a draft agreement to place CGIAR base collections under the auspices of FAO, material transfer agreements, and the results of the CDC/NARS Roundtable,
