Abstract/Description
The minutes begin with a record of a meeting between the CDC and the Executive Secretary of the CGIAR System Review Panel . DGs share their views with the Panel Chair who urge them to find the best entry point during the panel report to the Group. The minutes indicate that the CDC prepare a collective statement which is tabled at ICW98. In the CDC subcommittee reports the minutes record approval of the documents related to the designation of accessions under the FAO agreements and a decision that the new MTA be implemented by all centers. CDC at this meeting, also approve the establishment of a Central Advisory Service to advise the centers on IPR matters and consider the use of the Ford Foundation’s organizational strengthening program to assist centers in global marketing, inter-center team building, board development and the gender and diversity program. The meeting concludes with an extensive discussions between the DG’s and the CGIAR Chair on issues relating to the System Review.
