FAO commissioned survey by the Tropical Products Institute of research priorities and requirements surrounding cotton, coconut, oil palm, sesame, sunflower, safflower, and post harvest issues relating to groundnuts, as well as hides and skins, jute, kenaf, and sisal, including economic evaluation examining post harvest value, employment, welfare impact, foreign exchange ramifications, and likely future demand of these commodities.
