Integrated Weed Management (IWM) in Rice in Côte d'Ivoire

Description of the innovation: Weed control in rice is a major challenge and causing >20% yield
reduction. Increasing production and profitability with reduction of labor use is possible through the
integrated weed management (IWM) consisting of use of selective and efficient herbicide molecules,
the use of manual weeders (push and motorized), proper water management practices with good crop
establishment.
