Description of the innovation: We are collaborating with the private sector (i.e. YAPU Solutions, a
social FinTech company based in Berlin, Germany) to develop tailored climate vulnerability data and
models that help financial Institutions and agri-tech-, service providers create a sustainable and viable
ecosystem of bundled financial services for small-scale farmers in Guatemala that drives a positive
impact towards higher resilience, productivity, and income which consequently leads to farmers higher
ability to further invest in Nature-based Solutions (NbS).

Guatemala powered by YAPU for Genesis Empresarial Foundation. The model is being expanded to
other countries (e.g., Ecuador).
