This document provides the 2023 refocused Plan of Results and Budget (PORB) for the CGIAR Seed Equal Initiative following the re-planning process that took place in February to September 2023. This updated 2023 PORB has considered the reflected recommendations, including changes to 2023 budgets, the additional funding from the Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation (Norad) as reflected in Work Package 7, implementation timelines, and results to ensure the Initiative’s success. 2 P U R P O S E CGI09-310015-PORB-INIT-06-purpose different.indd 2 24/10/2023 15:53 Seed Equal Center | Consolidated 2023 2024 2025 Implementation Implementation Timeline Budget Timeline WP/Results Q1 Q2 Q3 Q4 $ (%) Q1-Q4 Q1 Total Initiative Crosscutting across Work x x x x 2% Packages Work Package 1 - Demand-driven x x x x 25% cereal seed systems Work Package 2 - Boosting legume seed through a demand- x x x x 14% led seed approach Work Package 3 - Boosting legume seed through a demand- x x x x 14% led seed approach Work Package 4 - Partnerships, capacity building, and coordination to ensure uptake of x x x x 19% 10,732,133 public-bred varieties and other innovations Work Package 5 - Policies for varietal turnover, seed quality x x x x 10% assurance, and trade in seeds Work Package 6 - Scaling equitable access to quality seed: x x x x 7% reaching the unreached with quality seed and traits Work Package 7 - (Norway x x x x 9% Funding) Innovation packages & Scaling x x x x 0% Readiness TOTAL x x x x 100% Crosscutting across Work Packages Initiative lead x x x x 195,042 100% WP SubTotal x x x x 100% S E E d E q U a l C E n t E R | C O n S O l i d at E d 3 CGI09-310015-PORB-INIT-06-purpose different.indd 3 24/10/2023 15:53 2023 2024 2025 Implementation Implementation Timeline Budget Timeline WP/Results Q1 Q2 Q3 Q4 $ (%) Q1-Q4 Q1 Work Package 1 - Demand-driven cereal seed systems Output:Identification of preferred products/traits by women and x x x x 27% seed system approach that works for women and smallholders.
