Third Meeting of the Executive Council : Summary Record of Proceedings

The CGIAR Executive Council met for the third time in Washington DC, on September 24, 2002. CGIAR Chairman Ian Johnson presided. The following topics were discussed: CGIAR reform program, WSSD, AGM2002, pilot challenge programs, and regular challenge programs. The Executive Council also discussed the formation of the Science Council, the reviews of the GRPC, ISNAR and CIP. Finally, updates were made on the situation at WARDA, and the revitalization of IFAR. Attachments to this report include the meeting agenda, the list of participants, the minutes of the Finance Committee meeting, and the minutes of the Program Committee meeting.
