There are rich pickings on a splendid new website run by SIROI, the agricultural information system for the Indian Ocean region, which is supported by CTA. In French and English, it carries news, statistics, market information, and dozens of publications, ranging from the purely practical (How to Grow Your Own Bananas), to the practically pure (Controlled Environment Technology Development in Seychelles) plus key journals from Madagascar, MauritiusÉ Two frustrations though: its up-to-date information is only online, rubbing in the information disadvantage of non-Internet users. But even online users suffer, and may miss it altogether, since the site is, to put it kindly, rather hard to find. Note its URL carefully: 202.60.1.2/Siroiwebuken
