Abstract/Description

EasyFarm comprises two linked apps: a farmer app that supports rice field management, machinery rental (e.g., harvesters and drones), purchase of inputs (fertilizers, pesticides, seeds), and order tracking; and a provider app that enables service/device listing, pricing and availability management, and order management. We conducted a large-scale training and pilot rollout in collaboration with provincial partners in Can Tho, Soc Trang, and Hau Giang during September and October 2025, reaching nearly 3,000 participants and resulting in 792 farmer accounts and 310 service-provider accounts. Feedback from participants indicated broad demand for integrated services (inputs, machinery, and product marketing) and strong user acceptance, with 85–90% of farmers and a majority of providers regard highly of usability, design satisfaction, and usefulness. Suggestions for remaining barriers, as highlighted by a small group of users with lower digital confidence, includes simplified workflows, clearer guidance, and strengthened field support. Overall, the results suggest EasyFarm has strong potential to improve service access, reduce search and transaction costs, and accelerate digital transformation across Vietnam’s rice value chain.
