Ministers Meeting in Lucerne Adopt Declaration and Action Program on International Agricultural Research

CGIAR news release issued out of the Ministerial Level Meeting in Lucerne, Switzerland on the moral imperative of alleviating hunger globally, and the role of agricultural research in doing so. The Lucerne Declaration and Action Program adopted at the meeting endorsed a new orientation, governance, and financing arrangements for the CGIAR. The meeting also saw Cote d'Ivoire, Egypt, Kenya, and Iran joining the Group.
