CGIAR Center Directors Committee Minutes, Presiding Chair: C. Bonte-Friedheim

The minutes record decisions taken on the System-wide Program on IPM, appointment of a professional, part-time on a cost basis to lobby and negotiate at the EU on behalf of the system, overhead and pass through fees, SWNM, DG Evaluation and Board Self Evaluation. The minutes include reports of the various CDC subcommittees, and discussions related to matrix management and core funding, n umbrella agreement on plant genetic resources to be negotiated by FAO on behalf of the centers, NARS views on relatiionships with the CGIAR, guidelines and strategies for employment and recognition of nationally recruited staff, Center-NGO relations, DG Evaluation, Board Self Evaluation and AIARC. Discussions on a range of system wide issues with the TAC Chair and CGIAR Chair with specific reference to revitalization of the system and with USAID on collaboration with US universities are also presented in the minutes.
