Abstract/Description

Consumption of chemical fertilizer has increased rapidly in Bangladesh over the last 20 years. Average application rates remain low, but coverage is quite extensive. Most cereal crops, as well as some noncereal food and nonfood crops, receive at least small quantities of fertilizer. Usage is not restricted to large farmers, but is common to farms of various sizes.
