Abstract/Description
TAC Vice Chair M. S. Swaminathan on the need for intensive basic research aimed at improving and raising the yield ceilings of grain legumes (pulses). Conclusion: an intensive, interdisciplinary international research effort on raising yield ceilings is potentially the single most significant inroad in attacking protein malnutrition worldwide.
