Institutionalization of the National Ag-Data Hub for Climate Information Services and Agricultural Decision Support in Mali

Mali’s Ag-Data Hub represents a transformative initiative aimed at digitizing and modernizing agricultural services throughout the country. Supported by the AICCRA-Mali project, the platform consolidates climate, agronomic, market, and advisory data into actionable information for farmers, extension agents, researchers, private sector actors, and policymakers. The Government of Mali has recognized the Ag-Data Hub as a strategic digital public good and has prioritized its integration into national agricultural and digital transformation strategies. Through institutional anchoring at Mali-Météo, inclusive multi-stakeholder governance, blended financing mechanisms, and strengthened technical capacity development, the platform is progressively becoming a central pillar of climate-smart agricultural development and data-driven decision-making in Mali. This report presents the strategy adopted for institutionalizing and sustaining the Ag-Data Hub, promoting its utilization, strengthening last-mile delivery systems, responding to stakeholder demand, and supporting future expansion under AICCRA Phase 3.
