Abstract/Description
The workshop was held on 14–17 October 2025 at the International Livestock Research Institute Addis Ababa campus, bringing together 60 participants from 12 African countries representing government agencies, academia, and the One Health Quadripartite, and facilitators from international organizations.
The workshop aimed to enhance the participants’ understanding and application of serious games and participatory learning tools to support the One Health approach across the eastern and southern Africa region.
Participants engaged in practical exercises using One Health mural tools, played and analyzed various serious games, and worked on country-specific case studies. The sessions emphasized collaborative learning, experience sharing, and adapting participatory methods for national and regional use.
The workshop concluded with a debriefing and country updates, highlighting achievements across the 12 participating countries, the progress of project activities in 2025, and strategic directions for the post-2026 period.
