System Review Follow-Up: Future Relationship between IAEG and TAC

Paper prepared at the request of the Consultative Council by the CGIAR Technical Assistance Committee (TAC) and the Impact Assessment and Evaluation Group (IAEG) on their future relationship with each other. It refers to Recommendations 14 and 18 of the System Review, and additional proposals by the Consultative Council.The paper reviews the System Review recommendations and the evolution of the two entities, assesses the reasoning that may have lain behind the recommendations, and describes for consideration by the Group two alternative approaches to integrating the work of the two entities, one suggested by TAC and the other by the IAEG.
