A Framework for Aquaculture Research Under the CGIAR
Citation
Abstract/Description
Discussion paper prepared by F. Brian Davy of IDRC (Singapore) intended to provide further information for discussion together with the report of TAC's own consultant, Clarence P. Idyll. Davy suggested possible forms of a global network of national and regional aquaculture research centers in developing countries to be supported by the CGIAR. A coordinating institution (possibly an existing one like ICLARM or FAO) would be designated as an IARC and serve as the secretariat of the network. Davy provided an overview of existing aquaculture research centers and networks in Asia, and of the need for such research in Africa and Latin America.Agenda document, TAC 42 in March 1987.
