Release announces that Professor Leslie Swindale, Director General of ICRISAT, and chairman of the CGIAR's committee on sustainable agricultural production will report on how to promote agricultural sustainability. As an example of research that leads to sustainable increases in productivity, Professor Swindale cites ICRISAT's work on double-cropping and how farmers have been quick to adopt this new technology.
