Investment Requirements and Financing of the 2003 CGIAR Research Agenda

This document summarizes the financial requirements of the 2003 research programs andtheir financing as projected by the CGIAR Centers. It is organized into four sections asfollows:1. Section 1 summarizes the aggregate proposal in terms of the investment level and how itis projected to be financed.2. Section II outlines the new financial decision-making cycle that became effective with the 2003 program review and approval.3. Section III discusses the main points in the investment proposal.4. Section IV discusses the highlights of the financing projections that underpin theinvestment plans.The document has two attachments:1. Attachment I is a summary of the financial and program highlights, as well as project costtables, of each of the sixteen Centers covering the 2003-2005 Medium-Term Plan period.2. Attachment II (Financing the 2003 CGIAR Research Agenda) puts the 2003 financingprojections in context of the historical perspective.This report was discussed at the business meeting at AGM02.
