Item type: Item , Writing for Publication! Training, coaching, and peer-to-peer learning to write and publish a peer-reviewed article: Post-training report(Report, 2024-12-20) CGIAR GENDER Impact PlatformFrom August to December 2024, 22 early- to mid-career CGIAR gender researchers participated in a novel training to improve their writing for publication in a peer-reviewed journal. The training was organized by the Alliances Module of the GENDER Impact Platform under the coordination of Arwen Bailey of the Alliance of Bioversity International and CIAT, and was delivered by a consultant, Dr Jeremy Cherfas. The training included three course sessions, peer-review in pairs of the papers that participants were developing, and three coaching sessions. The objective is for all 24 researchers to submit their paper by the end of March 2025. A survey was conducted before and after the training to track self-perception of knowledge and skills in key areas of scientific writing for publication. The post-training survey also asked about the experience of the course and suggestions for improvement. The survey results indicate that the training was overall successful. With some small improvements, the GENDER Impact Platform could consider re-running it in 2025. One indicator to keep an eye on to assess ultimate success will be how many of the 24 participants submit a paper and have a paper accepted for publication in the first quarter of 2025. An idea has been mooted to establish a mechanism for continued interaction and peer-support among participants following the training; this should be assessed for feasibility in 2025.Item type: Item , Integrating gender in cost-benefit analysis of innovations to enhance smallholder farmers. resilience and climate change adaptation—Module 1(Training Material, 2024) Kramer, Berber; Braun, MelodyItem type: Item , Integrating gender in cost-benefit analysis of innovations to enhance smallholder farmers. resilience and climate change adaptation—Module 2(Training Material, 2024) Kramer, Berber; Braun, MelodyItem type: Item , Integrating gender in cost-benefit analysis of innovations to enhance smallholder farmers. resilience and climate change adaptation—Module 4(Training Material, 2024) Kramer, Berber; Braun, MelodyItem type: Item , Integrating gender in cost-benefit analysis of innovations to enhance smallholder farmers. resilience and climate change adaptation—Module 3(Training Material, 2024) Kramer, Berber; Braun, MelodyItem type: Item , Integrating gender in cost-benefit analysis of innovations to enhance smallholder farmers. resilience and climate change adaptation—Exercises solutions(Training Material, 2024) Kramer, Berber; Braun, MelodyItem type: Item , Integrating Gender in Cost-Benefit Analysis of Innovations to Enhance Smallholder Farmers’ Resilience and Climate Change Adaptation(Training Material, 2024) Kramer, Berber; Braun, MelodyItem type: Item , CGIAR GENDER Science Exchange 2024: Post-event report(Report, 2024) CGIAR GENDER Impact PlatformItem type: Item , Vendor Business School Flipbook(Training Material, 2024) CGIAR Initiative on Resilient CitiesItem type: Item , (How) Can stakeholder cognitive maps inform a project’s Theory of Change? CGIAR research, and food systems research more generally, may not be directly focused on addressing issues of GBV, or even gender issues per se, but the issue of GBV may also arise in other research situations, and researchers must be prepared to respond to such instances appropriately and ethically. Moreover, precautions must be taken to ensure that any research involving human subjects or impacting humans does not cause harm, including by unintentionally increasing the incidence of GBV. The potential impacts of both the research process on participants and the potential longer-term, reverberating effects of interventions, including introduced technologies, need to be considered carefully during the design, implementation, and evaluation phases. These guidelines aim to support researchers working on agrifood systems to more carefully, competently, and ethically engaItem type: Item , Gender transformative approaches in agrifood systems: a course in four modules 3(Presentation, 2024) Costenbader, E.; Kohli, A.; Cole, S.Item type: Item , Gender transformative approaches in agrifood systems: a course in four modules 2(Presentation, 2024) Kohli, A.; Costenbader, E.; Cole, S.Item type: Item , Gender transformative approaches in agrifood systems: a course in four modules 4(Presentation, 2024) Costenbader, E.; Kohli, A.; Cole, S.Item type: Item , Gender transformative approaches in agrifood systems: a course in four modules Version 1(Presentation, 2024) Kohli, A.; Costenbader, E.; Cole, S.Item type: Item , Gender-based violence in agri-food systems: a resource list for researchers and practitioners(Working Paper, 2023-12-20) Meola, Catherine A.Item type: Item , The gender dimensions of climate-related loss and damage(Brief, 2023-11) Tavenner, Katie; Marlène, Elias; Huyer, SophiaItem type: Item , Funding gender-responsive climate action: four investment priorities for a Loss and Damage fund(Brief, 2023-11) Katie Tavenner; Elias Marlène; Sophia HuyerItem type: Item , Addressing gender-based violence (GBV) in food systems research: A roundtable discussion(Presentation, 2023-03-07) Croasdaile, Samantha; Meola, Kayte; Courbois, LauraItem type: Item , The GenderVision!
